I went through IVF, through loss, through fear. What I found on the other side became a 11-step guide for women who are done waiting and ready to prepare differently.
I know how heavy this journey feels. And I know exactly what you can do to walk it with more strength, clarity and trust in your own body.
I've been through IVF myself. Now I help women prepare their body, mind and soul for conception, not with pity, but with a plan.
My story
I am a mother of two children. But in my heart and in my mind, I carry five more children who will always be a part of me.
My journey to motherhood was not simple. It was filled with obstacles, both physical and emotional, and with moments when I felt exhausted, frightened, and desperate. I entered the world of IVF when I discovered that my health might prevent me from having the family I longed for.
My husband and I made a decision together: we would do everything we could to build our family.
And so my journey began.
I turned to a reproductive medicine clinic, but I also searched far beyond conventional treatment. I tried herbs, exercise, different therapies, alternative approaches, mental preparation and countless recommendations. I went through surgeries, difficult medical procedures and complicated examinations. I spent endless hours searching for information, reading about other women’s experiences and trying to understand what else I could do.
For a long time, I felt that my body and my future were mainly in the hands of doctors. I am deeply grateful to the medical professionals who helped me along the way. Their knowledge and support were a very important part of my journey.
But gradually, I discovered something equally important.
Accepting help does not mean giving away responsibility for my own life.
I needed to become an active part of my own journey again. I needed to feel that I was not simply waiting for someone else to make me pregnant. There were things I could do myself. I could learn about my body. I could take care of it. I could work with my mind, my fears and my expectations. I could prepare myself for pregnancy and motherhood in the most thoughtful and sensitive way possible.
That realization gave me something I desperately needed: a sense that my life belonged to me again.
I could not control everything that happened to me, and I could not guarantee the outcome of any treatment. But I could decide how I would care for myself while going through it.
So I kept searching.
I tried almost everything that was recommended to me. Some things helped, others did not. Some gave me hope, others taught me what I did not need. Every examination, procedure, disappointment and discovery became part of the knowledge I was slowly building.
Today, that knowledge has a new purpose.
My experiences, my research and everything I learned along the way became the foundation for this blog and my e-books.
I want to share what I have learned with women who are walking their own difficult path towards motherhood. Not because every woman’s journey is the same, and not because there is one universal answer, but because no woman should have to spend countless hours searching through an overwhelming amount of information while already carrying the emotional and physical weight of fertility treatment.
I have walked this road myself.
Now I want to use what it taught me to help make another woman’s journey a little easier, more informed and, above all, more compassionate.
